Marina Ramil is a poet & writer from so-called Miami, FL (Seminole, Miccosukee, & ancestral Tequesta land). They are currently based in so-called Salem, MA (Massachusett, Pawtucket, and Naumkeag land). Their writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and published in ALOCASIA, American Literary Review, Astrolabe, Sinister Wisdom, South Florida Poetry Journal, & elsewhere. They love Mundillo lace, desserts with matcha & maracuyá, & the fact that there is a butterfly in Miami with a marking on its hindwings in the shape of an "M" (Parrhasius m-album, dorsal view (the not “M” side) pictured below). They believe in the necessity of liberation for Palestine, DRC, Sudan, & oppressed and occupied peoples everywhere in our lifetime.
